Swatching and haute Couture

Quite a few times a week we found ourselves in fabric shops swatching and reseraching. This was great because we came familuar with the fabric and which shop sold what.

Elegant fabrics, on 40th between 7th and 8th is the best place for swatching fabrics because they have pre made swatches which you can take without bothering an employee.
Tuva Textiles on the same street gives good discount to pretty ladies which a great bargin basket selectio of offcuts and Mood on 37th in regarded as one of the best selection of fabrics but the empolyees can be quite snobby.
Each fabric store has its own policy on fabric swatching and students so you have to make sure you go at the right time to get a good service.

Above are some hand made flowers made by our Haute Couture teacher. We had to complete alot of flowers which was fun but very time consuming.
